Wellness Coordinator, Part-Time

Help in planning, implementing and evaluating structured health and fitness programs for both land and aquatic environments specific to geriatric population for all levels of ability. Coordinate and maintain group exercise classes as well as one on one personal training for all levels of care and instruct, coach and supervise residents in all levels of care, in exercises and safe usage of pool and fitness equipment. Assist with and help carry out daily resident activities.

Maintenance Engineer, Full-Time

Will carry out routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.  Performs minor and major repair of all buildings, equipment and grounds.  Responsibilities will include routine plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work.  Must be able to communicate effectively in English and possess effective interaction skills.  Must have a valid and clear CA Driver’s License.

Marketing Representative/Receptionist

Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, assists in implementing the Marketing Plan and carrying out activities related to maintaining occupancy goals.  Duties include updating and maintaining our website and social media accounts, writing and producing marketing materials, assisting with community outreach and fundraising campaigns, providing tours to prospective residents and families and maintaining a database.  This position is regularly scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 8:00-5:00, including holidays, and may require occasional added days for office coverage.  This position will be responsible for covering the Administration front desk on Saturdays & Sundays and duties will include answering phones, assisting residents and guests and distributing mail.  Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English and possess effective interaction and organizational skills.  Must be proficient in word processing, graphics and database software.  Current and clear CA Driver’s License is required. Prior marketing, sales, hospitality or customer service experience is preferred.

Licensed Vocational Nurse, (Atterdag Care Center), Part-Time Night and Evening Shifts

As part of the care team and a resident advocate, the LVN assesses, plans and implements the nursing care of residents in the skilled nursing setting. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care by providing direct care as well as through supervising the care provided by Certified Nurse Assistants and other support staff members.

Activities Assistant (Atterdag Care Center), Full-Time Temporary, No Benefits

Participate in the development and implementation of programs for residents of Atterdag Care Center. Contribute to programs that encourage residents to be active and are designed to meet individual needs and capabilities. The Activities Assistant will spend one-on-one time with residents assisting with modifying activities as needed to maximize resident enjoyment and safety. Prior experience in a retirement community, nursing facility, RCFE or geriatric setting is preferred. This is a temporary position for three months but may be extended if needed.

Health Aides, Independent Living, Full-Time, Part-Time and Float Positions All Areas 

Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, eating, medications and social activities. Qualifications include evidence of current First Aid training and a minimum of one year of experience as a Home Halth Aide, CNA, EMT, Medical Assistant, or similar experience is preferred.

Environmental Services Reps. (Housekeeper/Custodian), Full-Time

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and infection control practices and to contribute to an appealing and welcoming environment for the residents of Atterdag Village of Solvang. Environmental Services duties will vary according to the work location and may include vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, floors, carpets, windows and furniture. This position may also include cleaning outside areas and participating in setup for events and activities. Prior experience is preferred.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA),Full Time  Nights

Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, eating, and social activities under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse. Responsibilities also include providing residents with necessary social and emotional support and conveying vital information regarding patient conditions to nursing professionals. Qualifications include an unencumbered state certification to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), minimum one year of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience is preferred but not required; new grads welcome, current CPR certification, preferred

 Dietary Aide/Prep Cook

Assist with food preparation to include preparing food trays for residents and plating hot food according to specific diets. Also responsible for a variety of activities related to maintaining clean and sanitary conditions of food service areas and equipment. Other responsibilities include stocking items, cleaning food production areas and assisting cooks with daily prep work.  This is a full-time position with varying shifts including weekends. Must be professional, have a team player attitude and be able to provide customer service that ensures resident satisfaction. Ability to communicate effectively in English and good interaction skills are required. Position may include transporting food which requires a current and clear CA Driver’s License.  Prior experience in food service is preferred.
